Might not look like much, but it’s the best, creamiest oatmeal I’ve made so far. Combined a couple of different recipes for this one. It’s vegan, but you can make ot vegetarian by substituting the coconut oil for butter and plant milk.

Ingredients

1 teaspooncinnamon
1 teaspoonnutmeg
1 tablespooncoconut oil
1 teaspoondried rose petals
optional
4 tablespoonsoats
200mlalmond milk
100mlwater
1banana
or any other fruit you like
1 tablespoonmaple syrup
2 tablespoonsnuts
any nuts you like
chia seeds
flaxseeds
salt
1 tablespoondried cranberries
or any other dried fruit
1 tablespoonpeanut butter
or almond
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the coconut oil in a pan and add cinnamon, nutmeg and rose petals, if using. Sautee them for a couple of minutes until fragrant, then add the oats.
Step 2
Mix to coat, and leave the oats to warm up and mix with the spices on a medium heat, while stirring. This should take a couple of mins.
Step 3
Add the water and plant milk, as well as a pinch of salt. Mix them occasionally, and cook for about 15min, until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and cooked to your liking.
Step 4
Add chia and flax seeds, nuts, dried fruits, banana, peanut butter and maple. Stir to combine and cook for aditional couple of minutes.
