Best Oatmeal I’ve Made

4 steps
Cook:20min
Might not look like much, but it’s the best, creamiest oatmeal I’ve made so far. Combined a couple of different recipes for this one. It’s vegan, but you can make ot vegetarian by substituting the coconut oil for butter and plant milk.

Instructions

Step 1
Melt the coconut oil in a pan and add cinnamon, nutmeg and rose petals, if using. Sautee them for a couple of minutes until fragrant, then add the oats.
Step 2
Mix to coat, and leave the oats to warm up and mix with the spices on a medium heat, while stirring. This should take a couple of mins.
Step 3
Add the water and plant milk, as well as a pinch of salt. Mix them occasionally, and cook for about 15min, until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and cooked to your liking.
Step 4
Add chia and flax seeds, nuts, dried fruits, banana, peanut butter and maple. Stir to combine and cook for aditional couple of minutes.
