5green onions
sliced
2cloves garlic
minced
1 cupkimchi
1 Tbspgochujang
1 tspsugar
0.5 lbspaghetti
1 cuppasta water

carbonara sauce
Instructions
Step 1
cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat. once the bacon is cooked, remove it from the pan and leave about 1 tsp of bacon grease in the pan
Step 2
over medium heat, sauté the green onions (reserve some for garnish at the end)
Step 3
add the garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes
Step 4
add the kimchi, gochujang, and sugar. continue cooking for about 5 minutes and set aside
Step 5
cook the pasta until al dente. while the pasta is cooking, prepare the carbonara sauce
Step 6
in a small bowl, combine the egg, egg yolks, and cheese. mix thoroughly and set aside
Step 7
reserve about a cup of pasta water, then transfer the pasta into the pan with the kimchi mixture. keep the heat on low
Step 8
add the carbonara sauce and a splash of pasta water. mix together and keep adding pasta water until you reach your desired consistency
Step 9
add the bacon back in and garnish with green onion
Step 10
