CRISPY PAN FRIED TOFU

/stolen from insta/ I have been making different versions of this pan fried tofu for years, way before I stopped eating meat, and my whole family is obsessed! Even meat eaters or tofu skeptics will LOVE this RECIPE. It’s SO GOOD🤤😋no matter how big of a batch I make, it’s always gone in minutes 😩 It’s delicious, plant-based and gluten free, and it’s simple and easy to make. It’s a great, quick dinner when you’ve got a busy schedule. If you don’t want to fry the tofu, you can follow all the steps and instead of frying, bake the tofu at 425° F or air-fry it at 400° for 8 minutes, shake it and continue baking for 5 more minutes or until it’s crispy.

Instructions

Step 1
Method Remove the tofu from package and drain. Wrap the tofu in paper towel or kitchen towel for at least 15 minutes. Cut the tofu in half and then in 1 inch cubes. Add the corn or potato starch to a medium bowl. Add the seasoning and mix. Add the tofu cubes and make sure it’s coated. Preheat a large non stick or cast iron skillet on medium- high heat and add the avocado oil. When the oil is hot add the tofu cubes in one layer. After 3 minutes flip each cube to make sure all sides of the tofu are browned. Fry until crispy and eat warm or at room temperature.
