CRISPY PAN FRIED TOFU
/stolen from insta/
I have been making different versions of this pan fried tofu for years, way before I stopped eating meat, and my whole family is obsessed! Even meat eaters or tofu skeptics will LOVE this RECIPE. It’s SO GOOD🤤😋no matter how big of a batch I make, it’s always gone in minutes 😩
It’s delicious, plant-based and gluten free, and it’s simple and easy to make. It’s a great, quick dinner when you’ve got a busy schedule.
If you don’t want to fry the tofu, you can follow all the steps and instead of frying, bake the tofu at 425° F or air-fry it at 400° for 8 minutes, shake it and continue baking for 5 more minutes or until it’s crispy.

Remove the tofu from package and drain. Wrap the tofu in paper towel or kitchen towel for at least 15 minutes. Cut the tofu in half and then in 1 inch cubes.
Add the corn or potato starch to a medium bowl. Add the seasoning and mix. Add the tofu cubes and make sure it’s coated.
Preheat a large non stick or cast iron skillet on medium- high heat and add the avocado oil. When the oil is hot add the tofu cubes in one layer. After 3 minutes flip each cube to make sure all sides of the tofu are browned. Fry until crispy and eat warm or at room temperature.
