Chicken teriyaki bowl
This chicken Teriyaki bowl is an old time fave in our home. It can be served with noodles or rice and is definitely a hit 👌🏻 Do yourself a favor & give it a try!
Chicken teriyaki bowl
1 kg chicken strips
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
2-3 tsp fine green chilli (or more if you like it spicy like us)
1 sliced green pepper
1 sliced red pepper
2 julienned carrots
1/2 sliced onion
1/4 cup Soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup water + 1 tbsp corn flour mixed into a smooth paste
-Braise olive oil with sesame seeds
-Add the chicken, followed by all the spices and stir fry until the chicken is almost cooked
-Add peppers, carrots and onions and stir fry until it just starts to get soft, keeping the veg slightly crunchy
-Add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and water and allow to cook on medium for 10 minutes
-Lastly, add corn flour paste and let it cook until the sauce starts to thicken
-Add more water for a thinner consistency or more corn flour paste for a thicker consistency
