Basic Chili recipe. I occasionally swap out 2 tablespoons of the chili powder for chipotle chili powder for a smoky flavor. Leave out the burger and add the corn to make it vegan. Serve with corn muffins to make the kids happy.

28 ozcrushed tomatoes

28 ozdiced tomatoes

Large, diced

green pepper
Large, diced

2jalapeño peppers
seeded and diced small

15 ozcan dark red kidney beans

15 ozcan light red kidney beans

15 ozcan black beans

15 ozcan pinto beans

1 lblean ground beef

3 tablespoonschili powder

½ tablespooncumin

2 tablespoonsminced garlic

15 ozcan chili beans

2 cupscanned corn
or frozen, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Brown burger in large Dutch oven; add peppers and onion. Cook until onions are translucent. Add garlic; cook till fragrant. Add beans, pouring off excess liquid, and tomatoes. Add spices, stir till combined. Bring to low boil, then turn down heat to simmer. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for at least one hour. The longer the better.
