Step 1
Wash the lentils well to remove dust, add to the saucepan.

Step 2
Add oats and milk to the lentils in the saucepan.
Step 3
Cook on a medium heat for 10 minutes until the oats and lentils are soft and most of the milk has been absorbed.

Step 4
Add the oat and lentil mixture to a bowl. Add your toppings; sliced banana, honey and nuts and serve.
Step 5
Experiment with different toppings you might like; apple and cinnamon, chocolate and nuts, coconut and raspberries.
Step 6
To make this dish vegan substitute the milk with a vegan milk alternative and the honey for one of the above options. Happy experimenting!
