Spam Musubi - the perfect snack made with a slice of spam to top of a block of rice and wrapped in nori (seaweed)

Instructions

Step 1
Cut spam into about 6-7 even pieces. Make sauce by adding soy sauce, sugar and mirin. Pan fry the Spam, cook for 2 minutes on each side and add the sauce. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
Step 2
Cut nori into about 2-3 inch thick sheets. Using the Spam can as a mold or a musubi mold, add the rice on top of the nori, add spam and then fold the nori (seaweed) over the top of the Spam. If your seaweed doesn’t stick, you can add a dab or water a piece of rice to hold it. The heat will eventually make it stick.
