Instructions
Step 1
Peel and chop the onion and chop the tomato.
Step 2
Put the split mung beans, onion, tomato, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric, salt and 700 ml water in a pot.
Step 3
Cover with a lid and cook on slow heat for 45 minutes.
Step 4
In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil on medium heat and add the chilli flakes, garlic paste, cumin seeds and the bay leaf. Cook for a minute.
Step 5
Pour it over the pot of split mung beans and cook for a couple of minutes . Serve it hot and enjoy .
