Instructions
Step 1
Put the split lentils in a pot to boil in 700 ml water for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Simultaneously in a separate pan, heat vegetable oil on medium heat and add chopped tomato.
Step 3
Cook for a few minutes, and then add 2 chopped red chillies, ginger and garlic paste, chilli powder, black pepper and salt. Cook to form a paste.
Step 4
Add the paste to the split lentils and cook for a few minutes on medium heat.
Step 5
Garnish with the remaining red chillies and chopped fresh coriander .
