Instructions

Step 1
Attach the stirring paddle to your Kenwood kCook Multi bowl. Add the vegetable oil and set the temperature to 285°F (140°C) and the speed to "1" for 3 minutes to preheat.
Step 2
Season the pork pieces with salt and pepper. Add the pork to the bowl and cook at 285°F (140°C) and speed "1" for 10-15 minutes, or until all sides are browned.
Step 3
Add the onions and garlic to the bowl. Cook for another 5 minutes at 285°F (140°C) and speed "1," or until the onions are translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
Step 4
Add the carrots, thyme, and rosemary to the bowl. Cook for another 3 minutes at the same settings.
Step 5
Pour in the chicken broth. If the broth does not cover the ingredients, add some water or more broth until it does.
Step 6
Set the temperature to 212°F (100°C) and the speed to "1." Cook for 1 - 1.5 hours, or until the pork is tender.
Step 7
Add the chopped cabbage to the bowl. Cook for another 15-20 minutes at 212°F (100°C) and speed "1," or until the cabbage is tender.
Step 8
Taste the stew and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
Step 9
Ladle the stew into bowls and serve hot
Step 10
1. Complete the Stew: Finish all steps of the stew according to the recipe in the Kenwood kCook Multi, up to step 8 where you’ve ensured the seasoning is to your taste.
Step 11
2. Preheat the Oven: While the stew is finishing in the kCook, preheat your Samsung oven to a roasting temperature. For a roasted finish, you may want to set the oven to a higher temperature to achieve a crispy top, around 200°C (392°F).

Step 12
3. Transfer to an Oven-Safe Dish: Once the stew is done in the kCook, transfer it to an oven-safe dish. If you want a more roasted top, you can spread it out to increase the surface area exposed to the heat.
Step 13
4. Roast the Stew: Place the dish in the preheated oven and roast for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until the top is browned to your liking. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.

5. Rest and Serve: Remove the stew from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the top to set and become crispier.
