Instructions
Step 1
Boil the pasta on the stove, then remove and set aside.
Step 2
Sautée the butter and garlic in a saucepan on medium heat. Cook for 1 minute, stirring occasionally
Step 3
Add the flour and consistently stir in a figure eight pattern to make a roux. Cook until brown, about 6 minutes.
Step 4
Add the milk, cream, Parmesan, and Romano to the saucepan and stir occasionally until the sauce begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
Step 5
Serve the Alfredo sauce over the pasta (fettuccine, penne, and bow tie work best)
