Step 1
1. Add rolled oats to a colander. Rinse them under running water. Drain completely.
Step 2
2. Crackle cumin in hot oil. Sauté onions, ginger, and green chilies. Then add oats to the pan with salt, turmeric, and garam masala (optional).
Step 3
4. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Add ½cup water, do not dry up. Check by tasting little, oats must be soft now. If oats remain undercooked, you can also sprinkle a little more water.
