2 lbsboneless chicken thighs
14 ozcrushed tomatoes
2 cupsrice
1 cupheavy whipping cream
4 tblspbutter
2 tblspgaram masala
or curry powder
1 tspwhite pepper
2 tblspkosher salt
1 cupGreek yogurt
unflavored
1 tspblack pepper
1 tblspginger paste
1 tblspgarlic paste
1 tspcumin
3 tblspolive oil
1onion
finely diced
1 tspkashmiri powder
Instructions
Step 1
Marinate chicken in yogurt, 1 tblsp salt and 1 tblsp garam masala for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours or overnight in fridge
Step 2
Heat pan and brown chicken. Cook about 60%
Step 3
Remove chicken from pan and add oil, diced onion and cook for 5ish minutes until tender.
Step 4
Add crushed tomatoes, ginger, garlic and cream, seasonings and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 5
Use stick blender to smooth sauce
Step 6
Add chicken in sauce with 2 tblsp butter and whipping cream and simmer covered for 15 - 20 minutes.
Step 7
Remove from heat and add 2 tblsp butter and stir constantly until combined
Step 8
Serve beside white rice with Naan bread to dip sauce
