Pistachio Brown Butter Ravioli with Crispy Sage

4 steps
Prep:5minCook:15min
This is a smooth and decadent dish which is very easy to make. No one would have ever guessed your pasta came from a package haha. There is something about brown butter that really makes pasta pop. And when combined with the pistachio and sage, it takes it from good to great.

Instructions

Step 1
Cook the ravioli according to the instructions on the package. You are more than welcome to swap out any ravioli in this recipe, but we love the TJs one.

Step 3
Once melted, add the pistachios and chopped sage to your pan. Stir the mixture constantly so as to not burn the butter. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the butter begins to foam slightly. The butter should start to form brown specks and smell nutty. The sage should begin to turn from green to brown - we want them to be crispy so this is good. Turn off the heat.

Step 4
Toss your cooked ravioli in the brown butter sauce, top with grated parmesan cheese, and serve! You can drizzle a bit more of the brown butter sauce over the ravioli at this point if you would like.
