Instructions

Step 1
Add one cup of washed Toor dhal in pressure cooker along with 1 chopped onion, 3 slitted green chillies, 3 medium size tomatoes, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder and 2 cups of water
Step 2
Pressure cook it for 4 to 5 whistles in medium flame
Step 3
For tempering, Add some oil or ghee, 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds and urad dhal, 1 & 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp Hing , dried red chillies, 5 to 6 crushed garlic pods, curry leaves
Step 4
Open the pressure cooker and add salt and adjust water consistency if required and cook for 2 to 3 mins
Step 5
Add the tempering in to the dhal and mix well
Step 6
Add some fresh coriander leaves and serve it with hot piping rice with pickles or some veg fries
