Instructions
Step 1
- chop cashews and toast in ghee for ~30 seconds - 1 min until it smells like popcorn (this step is optional but adds a lot of flavor and crunch it’s so good)
Step 2
- add in chopped apple (slice on is fine), cover with like ~1 cup water. Enough to stew the apples and add the oats into the same water.
Step 3
- add cinnamon and 1 cove, let simmer til the apple is mushy to the touch
Step 4
- add in oats (earlier if rolled oats later if quick oats)
Step 5
- keep stirring until you get desired consistency. May need more water
Step 6
- in a bowl on the side, I add my toppings. Pour in the finished oats and mix.
Step 7
- drizzle with a generous amt of maple syrup
