Ingredients

1chili pepper

1lime
Cilantro
chopped
1yellow onion
diced
4 clovesgarlic
minced
2 inchginger
minced
14 ozcrushed tomatoes
coconut milk
1.5 lbwhite fish
tilapia or cod
rice
1 Tbspbutter
Spices
Instructions
Step 1
Mix spices together and set aside.
Step 2
Sauté garlic, ginger, and onions and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Add in spices and stir together until spices have toasted.
Step 4
Add in crushed tomatoes and stir until incorporated. Let simmer for 5-8 minutes until the sauce has reduced. Add water as needed.
Step 5
Add in minced chile pepper and coconut milk and stir. Bring up to a light simmer.
Step 6
Add fish and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Step 7
Turn off heat and stir in butter until melted.
Step 8
Top with cilantro and squeezed lime. Serve with rice.
