Ingredients
4 servings
Cottage cheese
340 gms, cubed and soaked in hot water with a dash of salt
6 clovesgarlic
minced
2 tspginger
minced
1 Tbspoil
1 Tbspbutter
2 tspcumin seeds
0.5red onion
finely chopped
6tomatoes
medium, pressure cooked and puréed
½ tspred chili powder
¼ tspfenugreek leaves
¼ tspturmeric
1 tspgaram masala
½ tspcoriander powder
1 TbspCilantro
finely chopped
8cashews
puréed with warm water into a paste
2 cupsFrozen peas
1 ½ tspSalt
Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil and butter in a pan and add in the cumin seeds, ginger and garlic. Sauté for a minute. Do not brown the ginger and garlic
Step 2
Add the onions and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes
Step 3
Add the fenugreek leaves and sauté for a minute. Then add all the other masalas and fry for another minute
Step 4
Add the tomato purée and bring to a boil. Season with salt
Step 5
Add the peas and paneer to the pot and return to a boil. Add the cashew paste and allow to boil for 2 more minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve
