Instructions
Step 1
Cut vegetables.

Step 2
Soak rice for at least 30 minutes. More soaking time = less cooking time.

Step 3
Heat up the oil. Add the green chilli, cloves, cinnamon and onion. Fry.

Step 4
Once the green chilli is cooked and the onions are shrinking, add the tomato, salt, turmeric and ginger-garlic paste. Mix well.

Step 5
When the tomato is cooking and the vegetables are aromatic, add the potatoes. Mix for 3 minutes. Convert with a lid until the potatoes are no more than 50% cooked. If the potatoes are hard, add a little bit of water.

Step 6
Add the carrots and capsicums. Stir and cover for 2 minutes.

Step 7
Add the green beans. Stir and cover for 2 minutes.

Step 8
Add the peas and cauliflower. Stir and cover for 2 minutes.

Step 9
Add the yogurt. Stir and cover for 3-4 minutes. The gravy shouldn't be too liquidy.

Step 10
Boil water for rice. Add salt.

Step 11
Cook the rice until is it 2/3 cooked. Drain the rice.

Step 12
Layer the rice and vegetables. Cover and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes (until steam comes out when the lid is opened).
