Instructions
Step 1
melt butter in a pan and mix with olive oil. heat up and add finely chopped shallots and thin slices of garlic. cook until golden brown






Step 2
boil pasta in lightly salted water, remove from the heat 1 minute before it's al dente. drain in a colander. reserve a glass of pasta water for later



Step 3
add tomato sauce and chili flakes to the shallots, stir until it gets darker (about 3-5 minutes). add vodka, stir thoroughly




Step 4
add cream, ground black pepper and a pinch of salt to the sauce, stir thoroughly until the colour is mixed




Step 5
add pasta to the sauce, then add half of grated parmigiano and stir thoroughly, add some pasta water if you need the sauce to be more liquid


Step 6
remove the ready dish from the heat. serve with extra grated parmigiano and fresh basil leaves
