Step 1
Preheat a Belgian waffle iron. Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C). Stir together the
flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a wooden spoon. In another bowl, stir
together the buttermilk, butter, and eggs until well blended. Stir the buttermilk
mixture into the flour mixture until it forms a smooth, thick batter.
Step 2
Spread batter evenly in the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer the waffle to a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve the watiles
with the orange butter and maple syrup.
