Instructions
Step 1
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and sauté gently until it turns transparent, then add the red (bell) pepper and garlic.
Step 2
Sauté for another 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the tomatoes, oregano and black pepper and simmer until the onion and pepper are completely soft.
Step 4
Purée in a blender or food processor to make a smooth sauce.
Step 5
Keep warm to serve.
