Stir Fried Garlic Beef with Brown Rice

Ingredients
2 servings
⅓ cupbrown rice
rinsed
2 tspsesame oil
370gbeef rump steak
thinly sliced
2garlic cloves
finely grated
5gfresh ginger
finely grated
2spring onions
thinly sliced, plus extra to serve
1 bunchchinese broccoli
gai lan, trimmed & cut into 4cm lengths
2 Tbssoy sauce
or tamari if gluten free
2 tsphoney
rice malt syrup or maple syrup
Instructions
Step 1
Cook brown rice according to packet instructions (about 25 minutes). Remove from heat and stand for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
Step 2
Meanwhile, heat oil in a wok or large frypan over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir fry for 1-2 minutes until browned. Transfer to a plate. Add garlic, ginger and spring onions to wok and stir fry for 1 minute. Add broccoli, soy sauce, honey and toss for 2 minutes until crisp-tender. Return beef to wok and toss to combine.
Step 3
To serve, divide rice between bowls. Top with beef and broccoli and top with extra spring onions.
