Ingredients

6 x 150gPatties

580gBlack beans
cooked & drained

1 heaped teaspoonCumin seeds
dried, toasted & crushed

35gJalapenos
finely chopped

12gCoriander
chopped

115gRed onion
chopped

4 ½ tablespoonsCornflour

¾ teaspoonsalt

1 heaped teaspooncracked black pepper

125gBeetroot
grated
Burger Mayo

100gMayonnaise
or vegan Mayonnaise

2 teaspoonTomato purée

20gTomato chutney

5gGherkin
finely grated

salt

pepper

burger bun
or vegan burger bun
Slice of emmental cheese
vegetarian, or vegan cheese

beef tomato
Baby gem lettuce leaf
Instructions
Step 1
Crush the beans with your hands and fold everything thoroughly to create the Black Bean & Beetroot mix.
Step 2
Mold the burgers into patties (around 150g each).
Step 3
Plunge the patties into hot oil and fry for approximately 4 minutes until crisped.
Step 4
In the meantime toast the brioche bun on the grill.
Step 5
Add burger mayo to the bottom of the bun, place the patty and lay over a slice of vegetarian emmental cheese. Add a slice of beef tomato and a baby gem lettuce leaf.
Step 6
Spread burger mayonnaise to the top bun and skewer the burger through everything.
