This delicious healthy granola recipe is naturally sweetened with maple syrup (or honey). It's made with oats, coconut oil and your favorite nuts and fruit. Make it your own! Recipe yields about 8 cups granola, enough for about 16 half-cup servings.

Used 5 cups oats, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and zest of orange. Added whispers of clove, ginger, nutmeg, allspice. Super good. From FB:, a member wrote This post is in regards to a granola recipe that is quite popular in this group. Here's the recipe: https://cookieandkate.com/healthy-granola-recipe/ I have made it several times and really like it. It reminded me a lot of granola I've made in the past from a Cooks Illustrated recipe. I finally took the time today to compare the recipes and now I see why I like this one from Cookie & Kate. It's nearly the same! 😄 Since I made the one I posted here, I've tweaked it to my taste. Turns out the tweaks match more of my original recipe. I thought I'd share a couple of things my original called for that I've incorporated to make my own version. - I use 5 cups of oats, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 1/2 to 2 tsp vanilla. - For Penzeys spice fans, their baking spice is 👍 in place of the cinnamon. Also McCormick has an organic cinnamon, nutmeg, and chia blend that is a nice choice. - If you like more chunky granola, dump it into the pan and using a wide spatula or bench scraper press the granola down hard into the pan. Do not stir will cooking, but do rotate the pan. - If you find the edges tend to burn easily or get a bit too done, bump the oven temperature to 350° and cook it for 30-45 minutes. Start checking it at 30 every few minutes. I've kind of blended the two recipes to get one rockin good granola that I make often. I hope these bits I've discovered help someone else to make it their own!
