Air Fryer Sweet Chili Chicken and Brussels Sprouts

Yummy!

Really yummy and super simple to make. I served with white rice. My boyfriend wants me to make it every week!

Great dish would use a little less salt and oil when cooking the Brussel sprouts.

I baked the Brussel sprouts in the oven; then added them to the pan of chicken on the stove after the chicken was cooked; then I added the sauce. Maybe I didn't put enough sauce on... but it tastes really "healthy" and not super appealing. I serve it with white rice. My husband and sons each finished a serving, but did not come back for more. I'm giving this a hesitant thumbs up.

Switched chilli oil for sriracha, was surprisingly delicious

Really good and easy. Only put in the brussel sprouts for 10 mins and then took them out when the chicken was cooking and put them back in for 2 mins with the sweet chili sauce. Not too spicy, could be more spicy for me and my partner.

I think I overcooked the chicken but other than that it was pretty good. Would make it again.

We used frozen Brussels & added some carrots too. Turned out very tasty. Will definitely make this one again!

Definitely consider the cooking time - our brussels sprouts were on the smaller side and were absolutely incinerated. The crunch was nice, but it also would've been nice to feel like I was eating brussels sprouts. Flavor overall was good, would make again, possibly with an extra batch of the veg to pad it out.

Pretty spicy but delicious. I felt that the ginger was a bit over powering so I will use less next time. I used broccoli instead of Brussel sprouts. Adjust cooking times

It turned out really good! I served it with coconut jasmine microwavable rice and topped it with extra sweet chili sauce and Japanese BBQ sauce

Used regular oil and Sriracha with honey instead of sweet chili sauce and served it with cauliflower rice. Definitely going into our normal rotation! 10/10

Turned out a lil bland, add more spices next time. But overall yummy! Didn't have sweet chili sauce, used ketchup as sub. Topped with green onion n sesame seeds. Paired with white rice.

Brussel sprouts only needed about 8 minutes. Chicken needed 18. It was really good though. Will make again.

Pretty good! I loved the brussel sprouts! I didn't have chili oil so I used red pepper flakes. I think next time I'll use less ground ginger.

Added pasta in lieu of rice. Also used a couple tablespoons of balsamic vinegar on the brussel sprouts.

The chili oil and sauce we picked was a bit to hot. But the flavor was still fantastic!!

This was amazing! I fried some rice to go with it. I also used Buffalo Wild Wings zesty Asian sauce instead of the sweet and hot sauce because my local store doesn't carry it.

The Brussels sprouts were an odd flavor combination, I think broccoli will work better.

This was awesome. I used shredded brussel sprouts. Added ½ tsp white pepper. Served with coconut rice. Hit and miss with the wee ones though. Next time I will make extra sauce. Made my own chili oil: heat a few tablespoons of oil and pour over a ½ tsp red pepper flakes. Let sit all day. Strain before using. This makes a very mild chili oil

My family enjoyed this. Next time, I would add a little more Brussel sprouts and increase the sweet chili sauce just a bit. Maybe 1.5 times the listed amount for each. Quite easy and tastes good.

I followed the recipe for the air fryer exactly. I did use less chili oil (1/2 tsp) based on the reviews. It was delicious! Definitely a do over!

Easy to cook and perfect for a healthy mid week meal.

Spice level is medium. I would adjust it in the future depending on who I was making the dish for - either reducing the chili powder and/or chili oil. We used Chili Pepper Water instead of chili sauce and it turned out great! Served with steamed rice.

I would’ve cut the cook time on the brussel sprouts by a minute or two, but otherwise this dish was a win. Fast, easy, and with a good amount of spice and flavor. I added some tomatoes during the last two minutes of cooking for color and moisture. Nice. edit: Tried it again with zucchini in place of Brussel sprouts and it worked real well. Add tomatoes in last 4 minutes.

If you do not LOVE at least 3 or 4 star spice, I recommend halving the amount of chili oil used. That stuff is good but potent. This is an amazing and pretty easy recipe with great flavor!

Very good, and super easy! Might switch out the chicken breast for thighs next time. (Also note to self: halve the cooking time when cooking for 1)

Next time I’ll be making some changes (a little less chili oil, ginger, and chili powder). Also, Brussel sprouts timing was too long. They were burnt. I’ll definitely make again with some adjustments!

Would leave the chili aside out next time

Used the oven sheet pan instructions instead and turned out great! I bribed the chicken in salt water know it was cooked in cubes; this help it from being too dry. I skipped the chili paste since I’m not a big spicy fan, but homemade chili oil more than made up for it. Served with a touch of teriyaki sauce to help liven up the rice. This one was easy and perfect for a weeknight.

My air fryer took much less time to cook this than listed and I should have paid attention to the aroma and not time because it got burnt.

I messed up and put the chili sauce on the chicken before cooking and it was still good. I'll make it again and follow the directions this time lol 😊

Really simple and tasty. I toss the sprouts in chili oil as well, and season them the same as the chicken, though- ginger, garlic, chili powder. Not sure why you wouldn't. I also mix the sweet chili with some liquid aminos (2tbsp) and a hefty squirt of gochujang before I toss and air fry to caramelize. I also prefer to use chicken thighs, as they're tastier than chicken breasts and more tender. And I air fry the sprouts separately from the chicken initially and then add them all together when I toss in the sauce before returning to the air fryer to caramelize. One of our gotos for weekly meals

Absolutely delicious, rave reviews from the family! I shredded the brussel sprouts because I like it better than way than halved or whole. I also made the sauce slightly less spicy by adding water, honey, and tomato paste to it.

Great flavor on the chicken! easy to make but I’d start the chicken and Brussels sprouts at the same time because 20 minutes in the air fryer and my Brussels sprouts were burnt

Delicious as is. I will add more vegetables (carrots, broccoli or cauliflower) on the next round to bulk it up and add some more color. Did not serve with rice to cut out carbs.

We thought it was delicious, I liked the crispy brussels and the chicken was tasty, our only wishes were that there was more sauce and maybe we could’ve added green onion or bell pepper to it for more substance.

I didn't hate this recipe, but I think the key is to have good brussel sprouts. the ones I had ended up being tough, but stringy and it really ruined the recipe. I would try it again, but probably wouldn't chance it with the sprouts and would use a different veggie instead. or just put a veggie on the side.
