Came out soooo good for my first Butter Chicken attempt... granted i didn't follow the recipe perfectly, just used it for the ingredient list after that I measured with my heart

This was sooo good! I added curry powder and since I didn't have heavy cream, used unsweetened coconut milk instead...it was perfect. 10/10

Used oat yoghurt in marinade and instead of cream.

Good simple recipe, had to use flour to thicken the sauce. Could use some fine tuning to make it more flavorful and unique. Still decent go to.

Needs less chilli powder and less passata, it makes the curry too tangy. Use sparingly!

Best curry I've ever made! It will be in my weekly rotation. I added a few things, kale, a chilli, extra spices and some bay leaves and a chicken stock cube. A bit less heavy cream and sugar. LOADS of coriander. It was a weeknight meal so I didn't have time to marinate the chicken properly, but it was still so delicious! Next time I make it I'll marinate the chicken overnight, can't wait to make it again!

Really enjoyed this recipe. Good flavour and simple to make. Children enjoyed it too.

Cooked for longer for meat to fall apart

Really good! Only thing is you gotta add some salt the marinade so that it seasons the chicken early one, the recipe doesn’t tell you to add salt till the end - crazy! I also left out the garlic for FODMAP reasons, still delicious.

I used the recipe as a base to make the sauce. I cooked chicken separately from the sauce because my kids are picky with sauces. I subbed the sugar with honey.

Tweaked the recipe a bit. Didn’t have ghee and added fresh tomatoes. Recipe tasted on par with the restaurants. Came out a bit water so I also had to thicken with a bit of roux

Adjust chili powder to 1/4 teaspoon

Eat with other dishes as it’s a bit one dimensional. Do not marinate for more than 24 hrs as the yoghurt marinate will split. If this happens the sauce will be all lumpy.

I love this recipe, but usually use 1/2 of the curry ingredients, otherwise it has more sauce than I want. I often use coconut cream unsweetened or coconut milk instead of milk.

Go to butter chicken recipe. I’ve made this many times and it’s always a hit!

Second time making it... first time I made it, I used used curry powder not the called for masala spice... and a little can of 156ml/5.5 fl oz tomato paste. Used oat milk both times instead of whole milk, as husband is dairy free. Also added a teaspoon of curry powder to the rice. Also added zucchini and mushrooms and celery to the chicken pan. Meal was excellent. Became my husband's favorite meal of all time. I really liked it too, but thought that a whole can of tomato paste was too much.... so tried only half of the can this time. Also, didn't think it had enough curry flavor, so doubled the curry powder. For a taste test so far, husband says it tastes great but packs a bit of a punch this time... lol for the record, the most spice we use is pepper and garlic powder and onion powder... so any spice will pack a punch for us... lol

Added extra cream and it turned out great!

This could use more spices, it is a little bland. But it is very easy to make and easy to eat. Goes very well with rice.

great curry,easily adapted to own taste, beats most take aways.

I skipped adding the chili for an even more kid-friendly version. It was really tasty 😋
