Honey Garlic Chicken (One Pan)

A quick one-pan honey garlic chicken and rice meal with peas, green onions and a lightly sweet soy glaze. Ready in about 20 minutes and packed with protein.

Ingredients
2 servings
1 tspsesame oil
1onion
chopped
1 Tbspminced garlic
¼ cupgreen onions
300gchicken breast
cubed
½ tspsalt
½ tsppepper
1 tsppaprika
chili powder
1 ½ cuprice
cooked, any kind
¼ cuplow sodium soy sauce
1 tspcornstarch
optional, if you want it thicker and saucier
¼ cupwater
1 Tbsphoney
1 Tbspsweetener
any, I use stevia brown sugar
⅓ cupfrozen peas
green onions
Optional toppings
sesame seeds
chili flakes
Instructions
Step 1
Heat sesame oil in a pan.
Step 2
Add chopped onion and cook, then add minced garlic.
Step 3
Make space in the pan; add cubed chicken breast and season with salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder. Cook until done.
Step 4
Stir in cooked rice.
Step 5
Add low sodium soy sauce, honey, and sweetener; mix well.
Step 6
If you want it thicker and saucier, add cornstarch mixed with water and cook until thickened.
Step 7
Stir in frozen peas and heat through.
Step 8
Serve with optional toppings (green onions, sesame seeds, chili flakes).
