Ingredients
4 servings
1 lblean ground beef
8 ozpasta rice
gluten-free, or corn-based
1 ½ cupstomato sauce
homemade, from your recipe
½ cupgreen bell pepper
finely diced
1 Tbspgarlic-infused extra-virgin olive oil
1 tspItalian seasoning
no onion or garlic
½ tsporegano
½ tspbasil
¼ tspturmeric
¼ tspblack pepper
¼ tspsalt
or to taste
¼ cuppasta water
if needed
Instructions
Step 1
1. Cook the pasta.
Step 2
Cook the gluten-free pasta according to the package directions. Before draining, save ¼ cup of the pasta water.
Step 3
2. Cook the beef.
Step 4
Heat the garlic-infused olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until completely browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

3. Add the green pepper.
Step 6
Stir in the diced green pepper and cook for about 4–5 minutes, until softened.
Step 7
4. Add the sauce and seasonings.
Step 8
Stir in the homemade tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, oregano, basil, turmeric, black pepper, and salt.

5. Simmer.
Step 10
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Add the pasta.
Step 12
Stir the cooked pasta into the beef and tomato mixture. Add a little pasta water if the sauce needs thinning.

7. Serve hot.
