Creamy lemon pasta with chicken
This is honestly one of my favorite pasta dishes to make and to eat. It’s so simple yet so delicious.

Ingredients

4 tablespoonsunsalted butter
2 tablespoonsolive oil
1red onion

4cloves garlic
½ teaspoonchili flakes
½ teaspoonblack pepper
2zest of lemons
1 cupheavy cream
1 cupchicken broth
2lemons
the juice of
1 cupgrated parmesan cheese
1 cuppasta water
save 1 cup when boiling the pasta
1 teaspoonsalt
or to taste
2 tablespoonsfresh parsley
chopped
Instructions
Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 450°F / 230°C

2. Put 2 chicken breasts in a tray lined with parchment paper. Mix together the seasonings for the chicken by combining together the seasoned salt, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Drizzle olive oil on the chicken and season with the spice mixture and repeat on the other side.

3. Put the chicken in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until cooked through.

4. Start on the pasta- boil the pasta according to the directions on the package then strain, make sure you reserve one cup of the pasta water.

5. The sauce- in a hot skillet add in the butter and olive oil. Then add in the onion and garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes. Next add in the chili flakes, black pepper, lemon zest and sauté for about a minute.

6. Then add in the heavy cream, chicken broth and lemon juice. Give it a good stir and boil for about 5 minutes.
Step 7
7. Then add in the cooked pasta, parmesan cheese, one cup of pasta water, salt and mix really well. Let it cook for about another minute. Take it off the heat then add in the chopped parsley.
Step 8
8. Once the chicken is done let it rest for about 5 minutes then slice and place it over the delicious creamy lemony pasta, garnish with more parsley, lemon slices and enjoy!!
