Healthy snacks – HealthyBrum
In this category we have included a range of healthy snacks which can be eaten as an alternative to pre-packaged options. Snacking is often associated with an unhealthy diet and weight gain as some common unhealthy pre packed snacks can contribute to excess calorie, fat, sugar and salt intake. However, by changing your snacking habits to healthier options, sticking to recommended portions and planning your snacks in advance, snacks can form part of a healthy balanced diet. It is recommended that children should eat no more than 2 snacks which are each under 100 calories in a day.
