2 cupsdry chickpeas

2red onions

2 tablespoonsghee
or oil

1 headgarlic

2 inchginger
piece

1cinnamon stick

5cloves

2star anise

4 podsgreen cardamom

2 tablespoonsamchur powder

7whole peppercorns

2 tablespoonscoriander powder

2 tablespoonscumin powder

2green chilis

salt
to taste

Boiled, 1 per person
Instructions
Step 1
1) Soak chick peas overnight then boil until soft (save the water)


Step 2
2) Chop onion, puree garlic and ginger into a paste.





Step 3
3) melt ghee in a stock pot add onion cook until translucent.



Step 4
4) add whole spices and garlic and ginger mixture cook on medium-low for 10 minutes.








Step 5
5) add in chickpeas, salt, pepper, green chillies and 1 cup of the chick pea water





Step 6
6) let simmer for 10- 20 mins.
Step 7
In separate pot Boil eggs until hard boiled and cool serve on top of chickpeas
Step 8
7) serve
