Garlic Butter Chicken Bites with Lemon Asparagus

Delicious! Wish the recipe made a bit more sauce, but I'll fix that next time. Served this with brown rice.

SO good. Do wish I hadn't crowded the chicken as it did begin to steam cook, so deff recommend cooking in batches as recommended! Flavor was great. Healthy and delicious!

Would be great over mashed potatoes. Keep everything the same but something to soak up all that sauce would be amazingggggg

This is so much better than I expected, and very easy to put together. Used 1 TBL of lemon juice, Sriracha is a must. Didn't have asparagus or broccoli so I peeled and microwaved 4 small potatoes, cut them up and put them in the sauce near the end, to soak up that yummy flavor. Fantastic weekday meal!

I was able to feed my whole household and everyone loved it. I will definitely be adding this to my regular rotation of recipes. Added bonus of making the house smell wonderful while I was cooking it. It had everyone wandering into the kitchen to ask what smelled so good.

The only asparagus that Tesco had came with tenderstem broccoli. Thought, "Why not?" Did not regret it. Also helps that my 1 year old likes broccoli

This is probably the tastiest thing I've ever cooked. I didn't let the chicken brown enough so it looks sad but it was perfectly cooked anyway. I replaced the asparagus with green beans. Don't. They're too sweet to go well with the sauce. Broccoli would probably have been a better choice. The star of the show is definitely the sauce, which I was licking off my plate. I thought the Sriracha was a bad idea but boy, it was so delicious. I do want to note that I added a bit more garlic than the recipe called for. Great choice for sure. I'll definitely be making this again.

Very good. You have to be careful with how long you cook the chicken or it will dry out when you return it to the pan with the asparagus.

Easy recipe with great flavor... I probably wouldn't cook the asparagus this way again. But the chicken taste great. I served this dish with white rice. Kid and husband approved.

The directions are over-complicated and kind of annoying. My rewritten recipe card says: 1) Cut 3 chicken breasts into bite sized pieces. Season chicken bites with salt, pepper and onion powder. 2) Blanch asparagus (Add to pot of boiling water. Boil 3-5 min. Add to ice water to stop cooking, set aside) 3) Pan fry chicken bites in half the butter and oil in batches ‘til nice and brown. Add minced garlic & Italian seasoning ‘til fragrant. 4) Remove bites from skillet. Deglaze skillet with broth (and/or dry white wine). Add butter, lemon, parsley, sriracha. Mix well. Add back chicken & asparagus. Reheat and serve with egg noodles, mashed potatoes, riced cauliflower etc.

Good flavours no doubt 😫 but could have comfortably eaten 4 serves between 2 of us

As a beginner, it took me longer to make than the suggested time, but it was great! Everyone loved the chicken, and liked the asparagus (we're used to it being more cooked). Next time, I'll use skinny asparagus, or broil it.

Awesome recipe, quick and delicious. I tweaked it though… butter + hot sauce = Buffalo sauce. So I just removed all that butter and replaced it with my Buffalo dry rub. Also used thighs instead of chicken breasts because that’s what I had. Recipes are guidelines, not rules, amiright?

I used chicken thighs so I really didn't add much butter because they were already a little bit oily. But this is definitely going to become a go to dish. I rarely use onion powder but it just adds so much flavor and I think I will incorporate it in more recipes.

Yummy! Served with mashed potatoes, because obviously. Kids and hubs wouldn’t eat the asparagus, so my roomie and I got to go halvsies on it. Best part is that you can some of butter mixture still in the pan as a topping for your taters.

Used a total of 1/4 c butter and added roasted pots. I literally could eat this every day!

I didn't really note the times I just did everything till it was cooked - feel like the recipe states waaay too much butter, it was yummy though. Also cooked it at the end on a bit to high heat but in a way I liked it as it made the sriracha sauce go kinda sticky and was super yummy! It had the perfect amount of spice too, was quite mild but had the flavour from the chilli and sriracha 🤩 I added green beans and tenderstem to which were great additions too (just cooked a bit quicker then the asparagus but still amazingly yum!)

This dish was ok, a little labor intensive which the chicken cur in chunks for a weeknight. Flavor was decent.

Only one bunch of asparagus is necessary. Two will be a lot and will overcrowd the pan unless you work in batches. Otherwise, this recipe comes together just as it says it will, and since I only cooked one bunch of asparagus, I have more for another go at this later this week!

I didn't make the asparagus with this but the chicken was AMAZING! It is a bit spicy so I would either cut down on the Sriracha or use a different hot sauce. I also used half the butter it called for and it was still very buttery.

I’d give this 7/10. Go heavier on the garlic if you make it. Feels lacking in that department to my tastes. 4-5 cloves would have been better.

I would definitely cut up the asparagus next time so it's easier to eat with the bites of chicken! the green beans I had were absolutely delicious. I would also recommend roasting the veggies before adding them to the skillet, it adds a nice crunch! With the shortage of Sriracha, I used honeyracha instead, I would add at least 2 tbsp since it has that extra sweetness and could use a bit more spice!

Loved it. The chicken was so flavorful. I subbed frozen asparagus and skipped the blanching step and it was fine.

Very tasty, definitely used more garlic (5-6 cloves). Took over an hour with all of the prep (which isn't much but I'm a slow chopper). Added a couple pinches of red pepper flakes to broth.

It was great! The picture doesn't look like much but the asparagus was SUPER juicy and perfectly cooked! The chicken was also buttery and delicious. I added about 1/4 cup extra butter while cooking the asparagus and salt, pepper and chili flakes while it cooked.

So darn tasty and easy! I didn’t use hot sauce or anything and I cheated a little on the asparagus (for the first time ever, I used canned stalks! They were better than anticipated). I added fresh thyme to the recipe (perfect pop of flavor) I would totally make this again and bonus…if you happen to have leftovers, the reheat great! I’m very pleased this turned out to be a great recipe.

Made with smashed potatoes and it was delightful. Even the kids ate it (slight protest with the asparagus)

I agree with another review that this recipe is easier than what the instructions make it out to be. I noticed someone else had red potatoes with their meal. I'm going to try that next time. It needed something and I think little boiled red potatoes would be delicious! It was a little too salty for us too. But I think that's just us. We don't use a lot of salt.

Tasted good, but this is far from a 30-minute meal! In order for this to be a 30-minute meal you would have to par-boil and ice bath your asparagus before you even start cooking anything else (and add more time at high altitude!) It was good but took 2 hours & 15 minutes! And that was with the chicken already cut up! Would make again but allow more time or pre-cook everything and throw it together to warm up before eating. You might want to shake a little parmesan on at the end too.

Throughly enjoyed the recipe the garlic butter sauce easily is the best part of the dish I added a bit more red pepper flakes for a little more heat

Nice but nothing special

I used some habanero hot sauce instead of sriracha. It came out excellent, the habanero blended pretty well with the flavors. If you use too much though, it can be overpowering.

Just added some buttered red potatoes with parsley. Very easy, quite tasty meal. Update: Made it again and got the chicken browned a bit better. Didn’t take a photo this time though. Also, my asparagus was really thin and I think it would have been better had I cut it in half and put the bottom half in a bit before the tips. I did skip parboiling it as the recipe suggested.

I would add a little caramel to make it look brown, so I don't need to dry out the chicken.

It was very good. I did add 2tsp of honey when I deglazed- it needed a little sweet. I served it with seasoned basmati rice.

I think I cooked the chicken wrong as it came out dry, but it was an easy enough dish to make that was amazing to eat! It made enough for two portions.

We had a batch of asparagus from the garden and this was perfect! How can you go wrong with a stick of butter......? It was relatively easy prep and will now be added as a go-to. I want to say I would reduce the butter next time but I probably won't. I didn't bother blanching the asparagus and it was fine. I didn't have any Siracha, so I tried some sweet chili paste and that gave it a nice tangy taste.

I've made a lot of recipes from the whisk app and their have been some delicious meals made but this is another level - you simply need to make it amd try for yourself simply delicous

It was delicious! I served it over brown rice and the whole family liked it. I used frozen asparagus and cooked them straight in the glaze and they tasted great and didn't take long to cook at all!

Sorry for the messy plate pic! Overall good, would make again but not often - uses an astronomical amount of butter. We used vegan butter and topped with a little vegan parm. Be sure not to crowd the pan, cook in batches if necessary! Will try white wine instead of broth to deglaze next time.

Okay... this was easily one of my favorite meals I've ever made. Wow is an understatement. My daughter isn't a fan of a ton of spices just yet so I gave her the seasoned chicken before the last step with the Sriracha and chicken broth. She loved it. My husband and I want to make it again asap. So, sooo good! Adding it to our rotation for sure.

Brown chicken in butter on high heat. We sautéed in oil on medium heat and chicken looked pale. However this recipe is very tasty and we’ll definitely make it again

I cannot describe how good this is. I made some modifications to the recipe, though. I used red wine instead of chicken broth, and trust me, it works wonderful. This one was also mentioned in the recipe. Second change is that, instead of serving it with rice, as recommended, I served it on polenta, and I think it works so much better than rice would have!

The sauce was a bit burnt since the chicken took longer to cook, but overall very yummy!

Season as you go. I'd say add a little more butter and broth or white wine to the chicken in its final go through the pan. It'll give it a nice glaze and also make cleaning the pan easier.

I tweaked this just a bit. I didnt cook tye asparagus in the same skillet. I prefer my asparagus broiled, crispy with melted mozzarella so I cooked it separate. The chicken was amazing and a hit with everyone

I’m not the type of person that can fry chicken in butter. I added an onion and the reduction time was nearly doubled, but the chicken was moist. I doubled the spice, added nearly 6 tablespoons of the bottled lemon juice and it was decent. I think it needs more garlic, though. It seemed to miss the savory side. I wasn’t a fan, but my partner loved it. If I made something similar, I’d double the garlic and make a bit more of the sauce on the side for the rice.

A different chicken dish, finally. This was very good. I added broccoli florets as well, which actually made it a little dry, so next time I do that, I will cut down on the asparagus. Even still, great flavor! My husband loved it.

This is a great one pan dish. I made a half recipe, used boneless skinless thighs, and cut my asparagus spears into shorter pieces because I was using a 10” skillet. Didn’t blanch the asparagus because it was young, tender & skinny spears. Really good!

The amount of butter seemed a little much, so when we have this again I will probably reduce it...maybe by ad much as half. The chicken ended up a little on the dryer side since it says to cook until brown, but that may have been my fault and will try cooking over a lower heat. I also didn't think the hot sauce was necessary and only put in about a third of a tablespoon, but I'm not a fan of hot sauce normally anyway. Overall, very good and will make again with some tweaks for our preferences.

The recipe itself was great. The way of explaining was honestly not the straight forward, and the fact that the ingredient list was so far from the steps was a hassle. Served well with some hard cheese, olives, and pasta.

Tried this twice. Once with the hot sauce and once without. I preferred it without the hot sauce, for me it confused the otherwise italian flavours. I couldn't get asparagus so I've used courgette instead (it's my favourite veggie) and it was great. Didn't require pre cooking. Put it straight in the pan when reducing the sauce to cook.

One of our favorites. I add baby carrots instead of asparagus and just cook them with the chicken, then leave them in the whole time to get them to soften up. Then we serve with rice.
